Staying organized is the most important part of running a small business from home. 
I have ADHD so I find it easier to be able to see all of products and inventory or else I may forget.
A simple and easy way to do not forget about what you have it to use open or transparent storage. 
My desk and shelving space is limited so I repurposed over the door shoe racks from Target to help me keep everything I need at eye level.

These white storage trays are made of a flexible , high quality material.
They allow me to layout all of my items in an organized fashion. Trays are large, medium and small. They fit easily in most drawers or cabinets but I prefer to stack them neatly on my desk.

Mixing and match these trays with the other sizes helps me create a customized organization for my desk and drawers.

These small trays are little but very strong. I like the white ones but they come in other colors too. The best part is, they are under $4 !
